KELLYE
This was the very first photo taken of Kellye as Diana Palmer, by Magestiq at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Birmingham Alabama.
This was the second shot of Kellye as as we discuss the motion "freeze frame" shots that we were trying to obtain for the shoot. Kellye nailed it the first time out, and has been able to convey the look and feel of a shot film sequence ever since, we were fortunate to have landed her for the part. This is the first time we have ever posted either of these pictures.
Kellye, is a very unique person. She had no prior acting, or modeling experience, and quickly adapted to the photo shoot sessions, by doing research on the net, and looking at the images from the Phantom comic books.
Kellye also developed her own personal look for the Diana character, and going as far as to make a complete wardrobe that she would wear for different occasions. One of the major influences that she based the look for Diana on was the JAMES STERANKO cover painting for the Valkyrie hardcover book from Eclipse comics.Although you mostly see her carrying a 9mm luger, her favorite sidearm for Diana is the 45 long Colt single action revolver, and holster rig.

.....When I came across this photo of Kellye in her Myspace pics, I realized this was the perfect person to play Diana, I just was unsure as to whether she would be interested in the role, and thank goodness she was!
Kellye used a great effect here, using the mirror to reflect an evil version of herself looking back at the good Kellye! (pictured above)
Here is another black and white image Kellye experimented with, reminiscent of the old Barbara Steele look! (pictured above)

Kellye has a great eye for the Gothic shot. I have remarked on many occasion that some of her pics such as this one are reminiscent of the horror films from the 1960's or 1970's.

Another great shot that could have come from a Jean Rollins, or any of the english or italian horror flicks or the 60's or 70's. (Photo by Kellye)

Kellye has an array of costumes, and looks such as the vampire, at a recent dance attended by her and her husband Matt.

When I initially started looking for a female lead to play Diana, I'm ashamed to say that Kellye was not my original choice for Diana. I had only met Kellye in person a few times at media conventions, and at the time I had met someone who fit the description of Diana, but had lost her name. One day I was looking through Kellye's Myspace pics, and it hit me like a bolt of lightning, 'WHAT WAS I THINKING???!!!! THE PERFECT PERSON WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME THE ENTIRE TIME!!!!!! Thankfully, Kellye agreed to play the role, with no hesitation, but wanted to research the character first to prepare for the photoshoots.(Photo by M Young)
